Life Lately: April

Hi there!

This month has gone by so quickly and I have been so busy that I suddenly realized I haven't written any posts in ages. It slipped my mind with so many other things going on.

Luckily, I'll be done with school in a couple of weeks, so I will be less swamped with homework and papers and projects.

Today I'll just give you a look into what I've been up to that's kept me so busy. Posts next month will go back to normal. So here's what's happened this month...

First of all, aside from school, I've been kept pretty busy knitting and crocheting things for people.

I made this manatee for myself.

These are baby shoes I crocheted for a friend of my mom for her baby girl, so cute!

This is a cowl that I'm working on right now that I'm giving to my mom for Mother's Day. She got me the pattern and yarn to make it for myself after she saw it in this blue in the shop. She talked about that yarn so much that I went out and bought it to make one of her own!

I had someone order this ninja turtle from my website so I whipped this one out.

As you can see, Ashley was not very helpful when I tried crocheting around her.

Finally, I bought this yarn yesterday. I don't know what exactly I want to make yet. I'm thinking a scarf, but I haven't picked out the pattern  yet. It's so beautiful!

It's also finally starting to get warm outside!!!! I've been going for walks and I can finally bring out my dresses!

Easter also passed, which I spent at my grandma's house with my family. My mom gave me this necklace because she knows how much I love bows!

I attended orientation for the university I'll be moving to next year. I signed up for my classes and walked around the campus. The weather was so warm that day and I've fallen in love with the campus. I'm so excited to be there!

And that's what I've been up to!

I'm sorry once again for disappearing. Once my finals are over I'll be back a little more regularly!

What have you all been up to?

Early Mornings

Hey everyone!

So, it's pretty unusual for me to be up and writing a post this early in the morning (it's currently 9:08 AM). I am most definitely NOT a morning person, and I find it to be very, very difficult to drag my sleepy butt out of bed in the mornings.

However, this morning, I had a meeting with one of my professors scheduled for 9:00 this morning. I ended up being about 20 minutes early, and the meeting only lasted about five minutes. So here I am at school two hours before I have to work.

While it really isn't fun getting up early, I sort of like being awake in the morning. I feel like I have so much more time to get things done and so much more to see. Right now, I'm getting all of my homework done so I can enjoy myself after work tonight. It's kind of nice getting everything done in the morning and then having the rest of the day to myself!

I think I'd like to be a morning person, but I don't really see that ever happening...I stay up way too late for that haha!

Are you a morning person?

Wanderlust Tag

Hey guys! I saw this tag done on Kenzie's blog a while ago and, since I love to travel, thought I'd give it a go.

Where have you traveled to and where would you like to go again?

Well so far I've traveled to 27 out of 50 states in America, and I've also been to Canada, England, France, Italy, and Switzerland. The place I'd like to go back to the most in England, because I really didn't see much besides the airport. Also, my sister and I would like to take my mom on a trip to France, because she really wants to go to Paris, and a mother-daughters trip to Paris will be so fun!

(I think I got them all)

Where was your first plane journey to?

My first ever plane journey was a really short flight from Michigan to Wisconsin, but that was a super short flight, we didn't even get food. My first proper plane journey was to France.

You're leaving tomorrow, money is no object, where do you go?

I think I would go to Australia. Since money is no object here, I'd pick something far away. Or, as it's my goal to go to all 50 states in the US, I'd plan a big trip to get to all 50.

Preferred method of travel?

I prefer driving because you can see all the sights along the way and stop and make detours whenever you want to. Plane trips just aren't as excited and you don't see as much along the way.

Top three travel items?

My camera, a bag of books, and sunglasses.

Favorite travel website?

My parents are in charge of trip-planning, and I don't know what site they use.

Where would you travel to just to eat the food?

Italy! I was in Italy once for a little while when I spent a little over a week in Europe, and the pizza I had at a truck stop in Italy was the best meal I had the entire trip, and that includes fancy Paris restaurants. I asked for a slice a pizza and I was literally given 1/4 of a huge pizza!

Is there a place you would never go again?

Can you recite your passport number if asked?

Again, nope.

Do you prefer middle, window, or aisle seat?

I prefer the window seat, because you can see some pretty cool things from being up high. One of the most beautiful things I've ever seen was looking down at Greenland from a plane.

How do you pass time on a plane?

I read on planes and sometimes watch whatever movie is showing.

I hope you enjoyed this tag! It was actually really fun to write it and think about past and future travels!

Let me know in the comments if you decide to do this tag, I'd love to go read it!
