Happy Halloween!

Image
Happy Halloween!!! I don't know why, but I think I've been more excited for Halloween this year than I have been any other year. Halloween is just so great: getting scared at corn mazes or haunted houses, watching scary movies, and of course all the candy (I swear I'm a child inside)! Unfortunately where I live, it's always really cold on Halloween. It actually snowed last night, so it doesn't even look like autumn anymore. There is a layer of snow and ice over everything! Tonight I'm going to a haunted house, and then probably watching some scary movies, because what else are you supposed to do on Halloween! Halloween Tag 1. What is your favorite Halloween movie?  I watched The Nightmare Before Christmas for the first time this year and I loved it! If I had to choose a scary one though, it would be the original Halloween. This was the first scary movie I ever watched so it still really gets me scared! 2. If you were in a horror movie,

Family Weekend

Image
Hi everyone! This past weekend, I went to visit my sister, who recently moved away to go to college. It was Family Weekend, so there were all sorts of activities planned. First, we went to a bonfire. It was at this little cottage with a beautiful view. The next day, we went for a walk on one of the nature trails that surrounded the campus. The path that we took led us to this gorgeous beach, as well as some great sights in the woods. We decided to eat on campus that night. Inside one of the buildings, I saw these chalk drawings. They're so well done! Art students draw different things here almost daily. On the last day, we walked more on the beautiful trails. We even found some snakes! I had such a great weekend. I miss my sister like crazy, so I was happy to get to spend some time with her.  xx Heidi

Autumn Tag

Image
Hello again! I realize that this is my 2nd autumn post this month, but I saw this tag after I had already published my first post. I still really wanted to do the tag, so here we go! The Autumn Tag 1. Favorite candle scent? I love the pumpkin scented candle from Yankee Candles!  2. Coffee, tea, or hot chocolate?  In a coffee shop, I prefer flavored coffee. A coffee shop where I live has a S'mores flavored coffee each fall which I absolutely love! At home, I prefer hot chocolate. 3. What's the best autumn memory you have?  Hmm, that's a tough one. I don't have one specific memory. I live in the countryside, so I remember taking a lot of walks with my mom and sister when I was younger. I can remember how beautiful the leaves looked, the smell of autumn, and how much fun I always had on those walks. 4. Which makeup trend do you prefer: dark lips or winged eyeliner?  I'm going to have to go with dark lips because I am absolutely terrible at

Rainy Days

Image
Good morning, everyone! I woke up this morning to a dreary, rainy day. Wisconsin has been getting a whole lot of these lately (I think the weather knows how badly I want to go to England and is preparing me). While sunny days are so nice and you can actually go outside without getting soaked, rainy days are sometimes the best kinds of days. There are some great things about rainy days, such as... playing in puddles sitting under a soft blanket with a warm mug of hot chocolate and a good book thunderstorms at night getting to wear my cute pink polka dot rain boots getting to wear my matching pink coat using cute umbrellas wearing warm sweaters I really love the rain! What are your favorite things about rainy days? xx Heidi
