The Wild Wood and the Haunts of Nature

In early April, when the weather finally started getting warmer, I took a little road trip to see the Seven Bridges Park in Milwaukee.


This gorgeous covered bridge is why I came to this park. At the very start of the trail, you walk across this bridge, which reads:

Enter this wild wood and view the haunts of nature.


The beautiful wooded trail led right to the beach of Lake Michigan.








I wish that I'd had more time to explore the many trails, but I suppose that just means that I get to come back sometime soon!


May the God given peace of this leafy solitude rest upon and abide with thee.

I am an English major and currently work at my university as a writing tutor, so I have to handle A LOT of essays. Life is Better at the Beach REVIEW

Hello again, I'm back with yet another book review! This book published by Thomas Nelson is a great little book about how to live everyday like you're at the beach. When we're at the beach, it is so easy to be relaxed and enjoy every moment. We long to go outside and see the beauty of God's creation. However, it's hard to keep up that attitude after our beach vacation is over. This book is all about how to keep up that beach mentality every day for your own health and positivity. I did enjoy this book. It's a short, quick read, filled with very small bits of text, Bible verses, quotes, and lots and lots of lovely beach photos. I would picture this book on a coffee table in a house on the beach. It would make a great gift, something for you to flip through when you feel a little down, or un-beachy. "Discipling as Jesus Discipled" by Dann Spader: Review

"Discipling as Jesus Discipled" is a workbook by Dann Spader and published by Moody Publishers. It aims to make disciples who will go out and make disciples who will, in turn, make more disciples. Spader uses this workbook to teach Christians how to create disciples who make disciples. The focus is all about relationships, with each other and with non-Christians (or future disciples). When Jesus made disciples, he loved them and cared for them, he maintained relationships. This is how we should be discipling, too.  This is a workbook designed for a 10-12 week small group study. Unfortunately, since I received this for review, I just worked through it quickly on my own. I think that it would be much more beneficial to go through this workbook in a group study and be able to have discussions about the content.
