Beautifully Written Songs

Music is a huge part of my life. There is always a song to make me feel better when I'm sad, or match whatever mood I'm in. Music has the power to make you feel.

I love songs that are different and artists that aren't extremely popular.

Today, I'd like to share with you my..

Top 14 Most Beautifully Written Songs

  1. Give Me Love- Ed Sheeran
  2. Ever After- Marianas Trench
  3. Acoustic #3- Goo Goo Dolls
  4. Forever and Always- Parachute
  5. Therapy- All Time Low
  6. Runaway- Matt Webb
  7. Gravity- Sara Bareilles
  8. Into The West- Annie Lennox (Note: does anyone recognize this? It's from the Lord Of The Rings: Return of the King soundtrack!)
  9. Perfect- Hedley
  10. Remembering Sunday- All Time Low
  11. Je T'aimais, Je T'aime, Je T'aimerai- Francis Cabrel (Note: the artist wrote this song about his daughter who died. The translation is "I loved you, I love you, I will love you".)
  12. Painting Flowers- All Time Low
  13. Porcelain- Marianas Trench
  14. This Song Saved My Life- Simple Plan (Note: this song really describes what this whole post has been about!)

What makes these songs so amazing is the lyrics, the music, the instruments, and the amazing voices. For example, Ever After has beautiful lyrics, amazing singers (each member in the band sings to create amazing harmonies), and is a mixture of rock and classical, as well as telling a sort-of fantasy story. Also, many of these songs are what I listen to when I'm going through a hard time.

I really recommend checking these songs and bands out!

Easter Adventures

Hello all, I hope everyone had a nice Easter yesterday!

I had a wonderful day. For one, it was actually warm!! Soon after I woke up yesterday morning we dyed eggs. We even used birthday candles (crayons work too, anything waxy will) to write our names on the eggs, though I sort of butchered mine haha.

The kit also came with these little plastic bag things to put the dye in, which I'd never seen before. They actually were very sturdy and worked quite well!

I, of course, made a pink egg first since it's my favorite color! I also made a purple one by soaking the egg in pink and then blue.

The kit even came with cute stickers to put on the eggs!

After dying the eggs, I went to my grandparents' house for lunch and ended up staying until 10:30. I had such a great time being with my family, I really am so lucky to have them!

One final thing, there is an abandoned house near my grandparents' house. There is an old barn, a cute farmhouse, and so much beautiful land. I would love to live there! After we ate my sister, her boyfriend, my boyfriend, and I all went exploring there for hours! In the barn, I found this pile of keys which looked really cool. I have some amazing pictures, but I'll share those in another post :).

Below is a photo of my boyfriend, Jacob, and I by the house. Just ignore his hobbit hair, hehe!

Sorry for the super long post, but I just had such a great day and wanted to share it!

I hope you all had a great time, too, and I'd love to hear all about it!

Still Winter...

Hello everyone!

So here in Wisconsin, it's still very very wintery. We had a few days where the snow was melting like crazy and it was even warm enough for me to sit outside and read! However, it's now snowing again. Ugh.

As you'll find out from how much I complain about the cold, I'm not the biggest fan of winter. While I'm not a fan of icy-cold temperatures and slippery roads, I have to admit that winter is pretty beautiful.

Recently, it was becoming very warm and the snow was melting. That is until, suddenly, it got very cold again.

This is a tree outside of my house. The melting snow froze around the tree so that the whole thing was coated in ice. You can even see some icicles hanging from it. This is honestly one of the most beautiful things I've seen.

Unfortunately I didn't get a decent photo of this, but there is a huge wooded area with a river cutting through it near my house. Every tree there was coated in ice and sparkled like no other--it literally took my breath away. I am sad that I didn't get a photo, but it probably would not have done it justice anyway.

In this picture you can really see how much ice there is on the tree. The photos don't do justice, but with the sun shining on them, it seemed almost magical.

Though I'm not the biggest fan of winter, I will still admit that it is one of the most beautiful seasons (though I'm probably more likely to enjoy it from inside under a warm blanket with a mug of hot chocolate)!

Hey there! Welcome to my blog!

My name is Heidi, I'm 18, and I live in the states (Wisconsin, woo!). We'll get to know each other a lot better as I post more.

This blog is just to show a day in my life! Not that it's all that exciting, but it's pretty beautiful if you pay attention!

I've been wanting to make a blog for a while now, but have just never gotten around to it. Well, here we go!
