My Favorite Authors: Blogmas Day 23

I did it! I actually did Blogmas! I know it usually goes for two more days, but I'll be spending time with my family tomorrow and on Christmas, and I don't want to be sitting online blogging while I'm with them.

Anyway...on to today's post...

I highly recommend checking out some books by these authors...

-Sophie Kinsella
-Diane Chamberlain
-JK Rowling/Robert Galbraith
-Jodi Picoult
-Nicholas Sparks
-Mitch Albom
-Sarah Dessen
-Kristin Hannah
-Ellen Hopkins
-Stephanie Pearl-Mcphee

I buy any books by these authors without a thought, they're that good!

Merry Christmas!

The Beauty Blogger Tag: Blogmas Day 22

Hi there!

So today I'm doing the beauty blogger tag. I wasn't really sure about this one, since I would NOT consider myself a beauty blogger. But I figured that since I sometimes do posts about beauty and not all of the questions are beauty related, I'm close enough.

1. Is your hair naturally straight or curly?
Straight, with zero curls or waves whatsoever.

2. Do you dye your hair?
Nope. The only dye I've ever used was a little bit of pink, purple, and blue.

3. Do you wear the same hairstyle everyday or change it?
I'm pretty lazy in the morning so I wear the same almost every day.

4. Do you do your own mani/pedi or go to a salon?
I do my own.

5. How often do you change your nail polish?
Once a month at least (usually).

6. How long does it take you to put on your makeup?
About 5 minutes.

7. Do you collect makeup or just buy what you need?
I just buy what I need, except for lipstick. I am constantly buying lipstick.

8. Do your wear full-face makeup everyday?
Nope.

9. Do you wear makeup at home?
Never.

10. How many high-end products do you have?
I only have one or two high-end lipsticks..

11. Left or right handed?
Right.

12. How tall are you?
5'3"

13. Do you speak any foreign languages?
I can speak French.

14. How many pets do you have?
I have a very very fat cat named Ashley.

15. What's your favorite color?
Anything sparkly.

16. Do you swear often?
Oh yeah, all the time. But I wish I didn't and I'm trying to do it less.

I'm tagging Kenzie (check out her blog here) to do this next.

If any of you do this tag, put the link to it in the comments and I'll go read it!

Marianas Trench: Blogmas Day 19

Hey guys!
I'm super excited because, on Christmas Day, my favorite band is releasing a new song and music video!

The band is Marianas Trench, and their new song is called Here's To The Zeros.

Marianas Trench is a Canadian band. You may know their more popular songs Cross My Heart or Fallout.

You can see an acoustic version of Here's To The Zeros here!

I definitely recommend checking out this band! I saw them live in 2012 and they were amazing! They came out after the show and I got pictures with them.

Do you like Marianas Trench?
What do you think of their new song?

One Minute Hairstyle: Blogmas Day 18

Hello there!

Today I wanted to share with you a hairstyle that I tried a few weeks ago and which turned out really well. I got this from a video I found on YouTube (you can watch it here) that had a few really nice and easy quick hairstyles.

I tried the one (I think it's the third one in the video) where you actually tie your hair in knots. I was a bit nervous about this, but I think that it actually turned out looking really nice! Also, it came out when I wanted it to (I was a bit worried about this, seeing as how I had actually just tied knots in my hair!).

Why I Blog: Blogmas Day 17

I didn't know much of anything about blogging until almost a year ago, when I first started reading blogs. I found my first favorite bloggers, like Zoella, Tanya Burr, and Sprinkle of Glitter, by seeing them in other people's YouTube videos.

Once I started reading blogs, I thought that it would be a cool thing to do, but never seriously considered it. I figured that I wouldn't have anything to say, no one would read it, I wouldn't have good content, and I wouldn't have the time. I didn't really know how to go about starting one, either.

Last January, my friend Kenzie created a blog (you can see her blog here). She showed it to me, and showed me how she made it. This was how I finally got the courage to start my own! Kenzie helped me create my blog, showed me how to use bloglovin, and she still helps me when there's something I don't understand (because let's face it, technology hates me).

The thing that has surprised me the most about my blog is that I am actually proud of it. That is something I had never expected to happen. I had expected to write posts for a few months, forget to keep up with it, and eventually give it up. Also, I never expected to get any views, let alone comments, on any of my posts. Blogging turned from something that I planned to do only for a few months into something I plan to continue doing for a long time!

I would love to hear why you started blogging, so please share your blogging story in the comments! Or, I encourage you to do your own post like this, and send me the link.

I am so happy with what I've made so far, and I'd like to thank everyone who takes the time to read this for that :)

Where To Shop: Blogmas Day 16

Hello there!

Today I am going to share where I have the best luck finding Christmas gifts for everyone on my list.

  1. Gordmans- Gordmans is a department store in the US, where there is a section for everyone, and prices are really really low. Their customer service is great, too. I worked in a Gordmans for 2 years, so I go there A LOT. I went there yesterday to buy some toys for the kids I babysit. This is also where I get clothes and shoes for my mom and sister, and shirts for my dad.
  2. JoAnn Fabrics- I have lots of quilters and crafters in my family, so I go into this store for supplies a lot.
  3. Old Navy- I got some adorable clothes for the even more adorable little girl I babysit here.
  4. Hot Topic- I get Harry Potter and Disney related things for my sister here.
What stores do you do your Christmas shopping at?

Ashley: Blogmas Day 14

I cannot believe that I've gone so long without writing this post, so it's finally time for you to meet my baby girl.

This is Ashley!

She's 11, but she's still my baby.

She is the sweetest kitty in the world and loves cuddles.

(I'm about to go full-on crazy cat lady, just a warning.)

Her favorite thing to lay on is whatever book I'm trying to read or homework that I'm trying to get done.

She does like to get into places that she shouldn't.

I just love this giant (yes, giant, she's pretty fat) ball of fur so much!!!!!

Do you have any pets?

The Reading Habits Tag: Blogmas Day 13

I'm a major bookworm, so much so that I'm pursuing a career where I get to read for a living. I saw this tag on a few blogs and, seeing as how it is just my sort of thing, decided to do it, too.

1. Do you have a certain place at home for reading?
I usually sit in bed to read. I like to be cuddled under warm blankets, and I have this great pillow that is super soft and supports my back while I read.

2. Bookmark or random piece of paper?
I use a bookmark.

3. Can you just stop reading or do you have to stop after a certain chapter or number of pages?
While I prefer to stop at the end of a chapter, I can just stop if I have to, like if I need to leave for class or I'm falling asleep while reading.

4. Do you eat or drink while reading?
Yes, I usually read while I eat breakfast. I also often eat snacks while I'm reading in the evening.

5. Do you watch TV or listen to music while reading?
No, I can't concentrate.

6. One book at a time or several at once?
One at a time.

7. Reading at home or everywhere?
I read everywhere; I always have a book with me.

8. Reading out loud or silently in your head?
If the book I'm reading is in English, I read silently in my head. If it's in French, it helps me to read it out loud.

9. Do you ever read ahead or skip pages?
I try really hard not to, but sometimes I just can't help myself.

10. Breaking the spine or keeping it like new?
I try to keep my books looking like new. I get extremely upset if I accidentally break the spine or bend a page.

11. Do you write in your books?
If I have to buy a book and read it for school, I'll take notes in it. Otherwise I never write in my books.

12. What are you currently reading?
I am currently about halfway through The Cuckoo's Calling by Robert Galbraith (a pseudonym for J.K. Rowling), and it's really good!

I'm tagging the lovely Kenzie to do this tag.

Let me know if you decide to do this tag as well; I would love to read it!
Are any of your habits the same or different than mine?

The End In Sight: Blogmas Day 12

That's right, it's almost time. It's almost winter break!

Today was my last day of classes, and my final exams are next week. All that is left is a few projects I need to finish and some final studying.

Break is so close! It's a bit hard to keep myself motivated this close to being done. Or maybe that's just me? All I want to do is lay in bed and knit and sleep and read and watch Doctor Who.

My last final is next Wednesday, and then I'll be halfway through my second year at university! It's still kind of crazy to think about.

I'll be using this weekend to write out some good posts so I can simply go online and post them, and then maybe I should use the saved time for some studying.

Good luck on your final exams!

Life Update: Blogmas Day 9

Hello everybody!

I would like to apologize in advance for the lameness of this post, as it's just a boring ol' update. But I still do want to let everybody know what's been going on with me, and why I'm having such trouble keeping up on here.

First, I have my final exams next week. This means studying for lots of tests, and getting projects done by Friday for those professors who don't want to have to come in next week. This means that I am incredibly busy, and I'm just really hoping that my blog (and my grades!) won't suffer for it.

Last weekend, I visited my sister at her university and spent the whole weekend hanging out with her. Over the course of three days, we watched 5 Harry Potter films and 2 Harry Potter fan musicals. These pretty much just played in the background while we did homework. My sister and I are extremely close, so I was very sad when I had to leave. I literally cried the entire two hour drive home!

On Friday night, I also went to a We Are Leo concert. I didn't know the band before I went, I mostly just wanted to see some of my friends who were going that I haven't seen in a while, but they were very good and I had a great time.

I haven't begun my Christmas shopping yet, and I really need to get going on that! Also, I have quite a few knitting works in progress that I was planning on getting done by Christmas, but I really don't think that will happen. Oops, maybe I can have them finished by next Christmas? haha

That's about it! Sorry for the short and quick post, but as soon as my final exams are over I promise that the post quality will definitely improve. By the way, if you are doing Vlogmas, I totally admire you, as I cannot imagine how much harder it is to film an entire day, edit it, and upload it, as well as keeping up with everything else in your life!

Wanderlust: Blogmas Day 8

I absolutely LOVE to travel. I love going to new places, learning about other cultures and their history, the yummy food, and exploring. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten out much yet, other than one trip to Europe, in which I went to France, Switzerland, Italy, and England. However, I plan on doing quite a bit of travelling after I finish University. Also, I am hoping to study abroad in England sometime in the next 2 years. (I found a program where I can live in an English castle. Who could say no to living in a castle!?!?!?)

There are a few places that I especially want to go to...
-Ireland
-Iceland
-Spain
-Greece
-New Zealand
-Sri Lanka
-Hawaii

That list could go on forever. I just want to see new places and experience new things that I would never get anywhere else.

What places are on your travel bucket list?

Winter Tag: Blogmas Day 7

1. Snowboarding or skiing?
I haven't tried snowboarding, but I do like to ski.

2. What shoe trend do you wear the most?
I wear boots almost every day in the winter.

3. Do you like ice skating?
I'm not very good as I've only gone once in more than 5 years, but I do like it.

4. Does it snow where you live?
I live in Wisconsin, so it snows A LOT.

5. Have you ever made a snowman?
Yep!

6. If you were to ask Santa for anything and be guaranteed to get it, what would it be?
This is SUCH a hard question. I think that I would ask for the ability to travel as much as I wanted to without having to worry about costs.

7. What is your favorite thing about Christmas?
I love having dinner with my family and watching Christmas movies together.

8. What is your favorite winter outfit?
Boots, skinny jeans, a sweater, and a scarf.

9. Favorite winter food?
Do Christmas cookies count as winter food?

10. What is your dream way to spend a winter day?
Playing in the snow a bit and then cuddling up next to a fireplace with a blanket, a good book, and a cup of hot chocolate.

11. How do you do your makeup in the winter?
The only thing that changes in the winter for my makeup is that I wear darker shades of lipstick.

12. 3 things that remind you of winter?
-Christmas movies
-snowy scenes
-sweaters

13. Favorite winter song?
Baby Please Come Home by Josh Ramsay

14. What is your favorite winter memory?
One winter when I was in elementary school, I had my tonsils taken out and had to stay home from school for a week. My mom took off of work and stayed home with me. I remember playing outside in the snow every day and having a ton of fun.

I'm tagging Kenzie to do this tag.
If any of you do this I would love to see it!

Writing Tips: Blogmas Day 6

With finals coming up for most of you, I thought it would a good idea to share some writing tips. I am an English major and currently work at my university as a writing tutor, so I have to handle A LOT of essays. In addition to academic writing, I think that these tips can apply to blog posts, too.

Writing Tips
  • I feel like such a hypocrite for saying this, because I almost NEVER do this, but start your papers early. This is especially important if your writing requires research, as you need time to find useful and reliable sources. Also, this gives you plenty of time to write if you get stuck or need to take breaks.
  • Have someone else (a friend, a teacher, a tutor) look over your writing. Quite often, there are mistakes and typos that you can't see because you know what it is supposed to say. Most universities have writing centers where a tutor will read over your papers and help you start writing them. These services are generally free.
  • Write in a place where you can concentrate. I, personally, need a quiet space where I'm comfortable. It needs to be clean and organized. If you can't concentrate, writing will be way harder and what you write probably won't sound as good.
  • Make a list before starting to write to get your ideas down. This gives you a starting point for when you begin writing, as opposed to starting completely from scratch. It also helps you to not forget what you're going to say before you start writing.
  • Read your writing out loud to yourself. When you read out loud, parts that are worded awkwardly or where there is too much/not enough punctuation will become apparent to you.
  • Get rid of distractions. Put away your phone, try to stay away from other people. You won't get anything done if you have a bunch of other things going on.
I hope that these tips help you out!
Do you have any other tips?

TBR List: Blogmas Day 5

Hello everyone!

Being the bookworm that I am, I am always on the lookout for good books, and good deals on those books. However, I do not read the books as fast as I buy them, which has led to a large stack of books sitting in my room. I am hoping to finish up quite a few of these books of Christmas break.

Here are some of the books from the stack that I'm especially excited to read.

  • Lucky by Alice Sebold
  • Sing You Home by Jodi Picoult
  • Songs of the Humpback Whale by Jodi Picoult
  • Perfect Match by Jodi Picoult
  • The Storyteller by Jodi Picoult
  • You Have Seven Messages by Stewart Lewis
  • Eragon by Christopher Paolini
  • Charlotte and Emily by Jude Morgan
  • The Secret Life of Josephine by Carolly Erickson
  • Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks
  • Bridget Jones's Diary by Helen Fielding
  • True Colors by Kristin Hannah
  • Brief Gaudy Hour by Margaret Campbell Barnes
  • Life of Pi by Yann Martel
  • The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold
  • The Pursuit of Happyness by Chris Gardner
  • A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens
  • The Book Thief by Markus Zusark
  • The Devil Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger

This isn't even half of the books in my stack. I still won't admit that I have too many books though!

Have you read any of these books?
Are any of these on your TBR list?
Are there any books I should add to my list?

November Favorites: Blogmas Day 4

Hello there!

This past month, I have found some products/songs/whatnot that I love.

First, I've found myself using these two lipsticks I recently ordered from Avon. The colors are Matte Ruby and Wineberry. Matte Ruby is a nice red that I like to wear for a classy look. Wineberry is a deeper, winter color that I've also been wearing a lot.

There is another lipstick that I've been wearing a lot. It's Lovely Fuchsia by Avon. I got the sample for free in a coffee shop from a woman who sells Avon and had a booth set up there. Since I currently only have the small sample, I have asked for a full tube for Christmas.

"Sleep" pillow mist from Bath & Body Works has been my lifesaver. As a person who deals with insomnia, there are some nights when I just can't sleep, no matter how tired I am. This yummy smelling pillow mist has a scent that is so relaxing that it helps me to fall asleep quickly.

I recently bought a bunch of knee high socks, and I'm loving them! I like to pair them with boots and a dress or skirt. Also, they keep my legs warm when I wear dresses in colder weather! I'm hoping to find a pair of short, black boots like these to wear with my black socks.

"Say It Now" by We The Kings and "Sad Song" by We The Kings and Elena Coats are my current favorite songs.

I love scarves, but my dinosaur infinity scarf has got to be my favorite!

Do you use any of these products?
What are some of your November favorites?

My Favorite Youtubers: Blogmas Day 3

Hello there!

As I'm sure no one is surprised to hear, I spend quite a bit of time online each day. One thing that I love doing online is watching youtubers. Today I'd like to show you some of my favorite channels.

This is just a short list of what I like to watch.

The Christmas Tag: Blogmas Day 2

Hello!

I first would like to say that I have decided to take part in Blogmas. I thought about it yesterday, but had decided that, with finals in less than 2 weeks, I wouldn't have the time. However, after thinking about it overnight, I figure that as long as I draft some posts in advance, I should be able to do it (please disregard this false hope when/if I don't get all of my posts up in time).

Anywho, I have found multiple posts doing The Christmas Tag. However, the questions are different almost every time. So, I've decided to pick my favorite questions from all of the one's I've seen to create my own.

1. What is your favorite Christmas movie?
It's a tradition in my family to watch The Year Without A Santa Claus every Christmas, but I also love Elf!

2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?
I get to open one or two presents on Christmas Eve, usually ones sent from relatives, but the rest I open on Christmas Day.

3. Do you have a favorite Christmas memory?
I remember sneaking out of my room and going into the living room hoping to see Santa on Christmas Eve.

4. What is your favorite festive food?
Cookies!

5. What tops your tree?
A white star with twinkly lights on it.

6. As a kid, what was the one crazy, wild, extravagant gift you always asked for but never received?
I remember asking for stock shares one year. I don't think I knew what it was but my dad had it so I wanted some too.

7. Do you prefer a real or synthetic Christmas tree?
Real tree, no question.

8. What's your favorite scheme for decorating the tree?
My family usually gets one tree for our living room that we put our presents under. For that tree, we use all of the ornaments that were childhood favorites, or ones that my sister and I made as children. We get another, smaller tree for our sunroom that we decorate with white ornaments and tinsel.

9. Giving or receiving?
I love giving when I know for sure that the person is going to love the gift.

10. Christmas Day fashion?
I open my presents in my pajamas. When my family heads over to my relatives' house for lunch, I usually wear jeans and some of the new clothes I just opened.

11. What's  your favorite Christmas song?
Baby Please Come Home by Josh Ramsay

12. Do you open your presents before or after lunch?
I open my presents from my sister and parents before lunch. Then I go to my relatives' house, eat lunch, and then open those presents after.

I'm tagging Kenzie to do this tag next.
If any of you decide to do this, let me know in the comments because I'd love to see it!

Top Ten Tag: Blogmas Day 1

I was nominated by the wonderful Kenzie to do the top ten tag. To be honest, I don't wear a lot of makeup, but there are still some products that I really like that I use now and then.

1. Foundation
The foundation I have been using for years is L'oreal True Match.

2. Concealer
I currently don't have a go-to concealer, so I would love any suggestions that you have!

3. Powder
Again, I've been using L'oreal True Match for years.

4. Blush
I don't use blush.

5. Shampoo
This one was originally "bronzer", but Kenzie changed it and, since I don't wear bronzer either, I'm going to keep it. I don't always stick to the same scent, but I really do like White Rain brand shampoo and conditioner. It makes my hair feel so soft and look shiny and healthy.

6. Lotion
The lotion I use is usually small bottles from Bath & Body Works that I've been given as gifts over the years.

7. Mascara
The mascara I've been using for a while now is Avon Wash-off Waterproof black mascara. This stays on all day and doesn't clump, and it is also very affordable.

8. Eyeliner
This was originally eyeshadow, but I don't wear that so I decided to change it. The eyeliner I always use (again, I've been using this for years) is Avon Glimmersticks in the color "blackest night".

9. Perfume
I am currently using Play It Spicy by Playboy. I found this scent at the department store I used to work at. It is a lovely, light scent and comes at only $10 per bottle.

10. Lips
I really like Pink Fuschia by Avon, it's my go-to color for when I'm running late and I need to grab my makeup to to.

There you have it! I'm probably the worst person in the world to do this tag as I don't wear much makeup (and hardly do a good job when I do!) but I hope you enjoyed it.

I'm tagging Oliva, who runs the lovely blog Just Add Sparkle...

Thanks for reading!

This Is Getting Out Of Hand

Hello everyone!

So today's post is a bit of a quick update.

When I began this blog last April, it was just something I wanted to try. I had no idea what I was going to do with it, what I would talk about, if I would even enjoy it, or if anyone would read it. I am very happy to say that I love blogging and am so happy that I started it.

On a whim, I decided to make a second blog about books. I would post reviews and recommendations, and offer editing for writers. Currently, this blog isn't live yet, as I'm trying to make it as nice as possible first. Two blogs, I decided, I can handle.

The day after I began working on my second blog, my sister's boyfriend (who makes websites for a living) asked me if he could make a blog for me, mostly so he could gain some experience using different blogging websites. I said yes, as it's quite hard to turn down a free, professionally made blog.

However, now I have the dilemma of having THREE BLOGS that I have no idea what to do with. This blog will remain my main one that I use most often. I am going to update my book blog whenever I read a new book, so that one won't be used as much.

But the third-- I have nothing to do with it. I would like to still use it, as my sister's boyfriend will have a link to it on his business website as an example of work he's done.

Is there anything that you would like to see that I can use blog #3 for?
Please leave a comment with your ideas!

We The Kings

Hello everyone!

Last Wednesday, I finally got to see one of my favorite bands. If you haven't heard of We The Kings, you can check out their music here. Three of the members of the band are also YouTubers and have daily vlog channels. You can check those out too! Here are the channels for Travis ClarkDanny Duncan, and Charles Trippy.

We The Kings had a show two hours from where I live at the university that my friend goes to, so I also got the opportunity to see a friend I hadn't gotten to hang out with in a while.

As soon as I got to the city, my friend and I went straight to the venue. We were hoping to see the band, and we did!

This is Travis Clark, the lead singer. He is such a nice guy! When we saw him and asked for pictures he stopped and talked to us for a really long time.

Here I am with the drummer, Danny Duncan. This picture is super blurry because I was so nervous and excited that my hands were shaking really bad!

And here is Charles Trippy, the bass player!

They were all so nice to us! I also saw Hunter Thomson, the guitar player, but I was too shy to go up to him and ask for pictures since no one else did. I'm really regretting it!

About 20 minutes before the doors were supposed to open, the fire alarms starting going off and we all had to evacuate. After standing in the rain for about 40 minutes, we were finally able to go back inside. We hadn't been inside very long when the alarms went off AGAIN. That time we only had to stay outside for about 10 minutes. Not long after going back inside, they started letting us in. I managed to get a spot in the very front row. I was leaning against the stage the whole time. I was right in front of where Charles stood during the show.

The show was AMAZING! The opening bands were Windsor Drive and Quietdrive. Both bands were really good. I had seen Windsor Drive a few times before.

Then it was time for We The Kings!!!! They sounded absolutely amazing, they were hilarious, and it was so much fun!!!

I got Travis Clark's guitar pick (on the left), and my friend got Charles Trippy's (on the right).

I still can't believe that it really happened! I first discovered this band and their YouTube channels in 2011 and have been wanting to see them and meet them ever since. I keep having to remind myself that it all really happened!

Their music is amazing and their videos are great, too. I really recommend checking both out!!

Do you listen to We The Kings?
What songs do you like?
Have you ever been to one of their concerts?

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!!! I don't know why, but I think I've been more excited for Halloween this year than I have been any other year. Halloween is just so great: getting scared at corn mazes or haunted houses, watching scary movies, and of course all the candy (I swear I'm a child inside)!

Unfortunately where I live, it's always really cold on Halloween. It actually snowed last night, so it doesn't even look like autumn anymore. There is a layer of snow and ice over everything!

Tonight I'm going to a haunted house, and then probably watching some scary movies, because what else are you supposed to do on Halloween!

Halloween Tag

1. What is your favorite Halloween movie? I watched The Nightmare Before Christmas for the first time this year and I loved it! If I had to choose a scary one though, it would be the original Halloween. This was the first scary movie I ever watched so it still really gets me scared!

2. If you were in a horror movie, how far would you get? I think I'd be smart enough to evade getting killed for a while. I'm not the sort of person who'd just stand there screaming and crying, I'd be trying my hardest to get out of there. Unfortunately though, if I was being chased, I wouldn't last long at all. I can't run very well due to some joint/bone problems so I'd be down pretty quick.

3. What is your favorite memory of Halloween? My favorite Halloween memories are all from going trick or treating when I was a kid.

4. Your best/worst Halloween costume? My best Halloween costume was probably when I was an old lady. I wore really comfortable pajamas and a robe, and I put some skin cream on my face. I was warm and comfortable for the whole night and my skin felt amazing the next morning! My worst Halloween costume was when I decided to be a hula dancer. My costume was a tank top and a grass skirt, but since I live in Wisconsin they were covered up by a huge coat and sweat pants so I wouldn't freeze. No one could even see my costume!

5. How do you get into the Halloween spirit? I listen to a lot of Halloween playlists on Pandora and 8 Tracks, as well as watching scary movies. I also bought a pack of Halloween pencils that I've been using all week.

6. Favorite Halloween decoration? My cat! I have a black cat named Ashley and I think that totally counts as a decoration! :) However I do love seeing carved pumpkins all over town.

7. Name one unusual thing that you're afraid of. Chainsaws at corn mazes. I'm not even fazed by the people who jump out with knives or scary masks, but as soon as the chainsaw comes out I'm a mess and running as fast as I can. I think it's because usually at these places, all of the other "weapons" are so obviously fake, but the chainsaw is so real. I always think that it would be so easy for someone to sneak in with his chainsaw and actually start killing people-I have no idea why!

8. Vampires or zombies? I think zombies are so much scarier because they're what's left of humans. Also, I love the movie Zombieland!

9. Werewolves or ghosts? Ghosts!!! I love a good ghost story.

10. Creepy dolls or creepy clowns? Creepy dolls, I think they're scarier than clowns!

11. Do you believe in ghosts? I honestly don't know, though I think I lean more towards yes.

I'm tagging EVERYONE who reads this to do this tag!
Let me know if you do the tag as I'd love to read it.
I hope you enjoyed this post! I'll get away from the tags and do some more regular posts soon.
Have fun and stay safe tonight!

Family Weekend

Hi everyone!

This past weekend, I went to visit my sister, who recently moved away to go to college. It was Family Weekend, so there were all sorts of activities planned.

First, we went to a bonfire. It was at this little cottage with a beautiful view.

The next day, we went for a walk on one of the nature trails that surrounded the campus. The path that we took led us to this gorgeous beach, as well as some great sights in the woods.

We decided to eat on campus that night. Inside one of the buildings, I saw these chalk drawings. They're so well done! Art students draw different things here almost daily.

On the last day, we walked more on the beautiful trails.

We even found some snakes!

I had such a great weekend. I miss my sister like crazy, so I was happy to get to spend some time with her.
